Held Through Motherhood

Holistic Birth & Postpartum Care

Birth is more than a physical event. It is an experience that asks something of your mind, body, and your spirit. My approach to doula care begins long before labor, creating space for education, emotional preparation, and a deeply personal connection.

Through thoughtful prenatal experiences, intentional birth preparation, continuous labor support, and nurturing postpartum care, I walk beside you with the belief that every mother deserves to feel genuinely known, supported, and confident in her ability to make informed decisions.

This is care that honors the whole woman, not simply the birth of her baby.

An Experience Designed Around You

No two women arrive at motherhood carrying the same story. Their experiences, fears, strengths, relationships, and hopes are entirely their own. I believe their care should reflect that. My approach begins with understanding the woman behind the pregnancy.

During our prenatal time together, I take the time to understand your birth history, your relationship with your body, your expectations, and the areas where you feel you need the most preparation. For one mother, that might mean exploring the nervous system and learning practical ways to feel grounded during labor. For another, it might mean making space to reflect on a difficult previous birth or spending additional time preparing her partner to offer meaningful support.

During birth, that understanding shapes how I care for you. Some mothers find comfort in steady reassurance, hands-on counterpressure, and guidance through different positions. Others need quiet, uninterrupted space, minimal conversation, and someone who understands when to step forward and when to step back. My role is to become familiar enough with you that my presence feels supportive rather than intrusive.

And that care doesn't end when your baby arrives. The postpartum period deserves just as much thoughtfulness as birth itself. For one mother, nurturing may look like gentle, welcomed touch, a warm bath, or time to settle into her body after birth. For another, it may mean support with feeding, space to process her experience, or simply the opportunity to rest while someone tends to her needs. There is no single ritual or predetermined experience that every woman must fit into.

The intention is always the same: to care for you as a whole woman, with an understanding of your body, mind, and emotional needs.

Because meaningful support isn't measured only by the services provided. It's found in the attention, understanding, and genuine connection behind them.

The Fourth Trimester | Reimagined

Because the mother deserves to be cared for, too.

In the weeks following birth, so much attention naturally turns toward the baby. But the woman who has just given birth is experiencing a profound transition of her own.

I believe postpartum care should offer more than a brief check-in. It should create an opportunity for a mother to slow down, receive care, and feel genuinely nurtured.

During your personalized postpartum experience, we may incorporate:

  • Warmth & nourishment: A comforting bath, warm drinks, nourishing foods, and intentional rest.

  • Gentle restoration: Belly binding when appropriate, comforting touch, and simple nurturing gestures tailored to your preferences.

  • Space to reflect: An opportunity to share your birth story, process your experience, or simply enjoy quiet companionship.

  • Practical mothering support: Assistance with feeding, newborn care, and navigating the early weeks of motherhood.

Whether you desire a deeply restful afternoon, a meaningful conversation, or practical hands-on help, this experience is shaped around what you need most.

There is no single way to be nurtured. Only the opportunity to be cared for in a way that feels entirely your own.

Every mother's needs are different. These offerings represent the range of care we may thoughtfully incorporate into your experience, rather than a prescribed checklist. Together, we'll determine what feels most meaningful and appropriate for you.

An Investment In Your Birth Experience

Your Experience Begins With a Conversation

Before working together, we’ll schedule a complimentary consultation to discuss your hopes, preferences, and what meaningful support looks like to you. This is an opportunity for us to get acquainted, explore your needs, and determine whether Earthly Motherhood is the right fit for your family.

I accept a limited number of births to preserve the quality and personal nature of the care I provide.
